Women & Girls

BWCC has been running a very successful Girls section for over 7 years now. As a club the girls section:

  • Successfully entered 3 girls teams into BCB boys league for the last 3 years, building from just 1 team 6 years ago.
  • Have won Bucks Lady Taverners Club competition at U11 and U13 on numerous occasions.
  • Pride themselves on being a very inclusive club, with membership open to all. We cater for girls from 6 year olds through to women and are very adept and knowledgable in integrating new players of any age and experience.
  • Work very hard to make all members the best cricketer they can be with many excellent coaches. A majority of the girl players are also in the Bucks Player Pathway.
  • In 2017, 7 Ballinger Girls played in Bucks Womens 1st XI
  • In September 2016 were the winners of the annual Brian Johnson Spirit of Cricket award. They were presented and interviewed by the Test Match Special team in the Press Centre at Lords at the One day final lunchtime interval

We are now at a point in our development where having run a Womens soft ball team for 2 years we are now joining this with the Girls section and having a full hard ball Womens team. In completing this pathway through to Womens cricket, in 2018, we entered the inaugural ECB Women T/20 Cup and also played in the 4 Counties Womens League.
